Meet Roberta
Born for joy as everyone is, Roberta adopted it as a life path on discovering its power to uplift, heal, transform and unify.
She came to joy early — dancing was simply what happened to her body when music played. Following that thread led to over thirty years of teaching, performing, and exploring the power of joy through natural movement.

Along the way, she founded World Dance™ — a joyful path to free movement and personal growth; wrote a book of the same name to share what she’d learned from dancing and teaching; hosted a dance and health TV show; presented at events both locally and internationally; introduced thousands to body joy and awareness; performed professionally as a bellydancer; and ran a private movement coaching practice.
Most recently, she launched an instructional video channel on Substack — JoyFreeMove.

When it was time to go deeper, Roberta naturally turned to body wisdom and whole health. In 2004, she became a Certified BodyTalk Practitioner, expanding her understanding of the body while helping others move toward joy through wholistic balance.
In 2020, as the need for uplifting transformation reached new heights, her desire to share the power of joy culminated — with the help of two collaborators — in the creation of the video Understanding the Power of Joy.

Roberta’s joys extend well beyond dance. As a presenter, she delights in sharing unique, practical perspectives on joy, natural movement, whole health, and both personal and global transformation with curious, open-hearted groups.

Her window art, RustWorks, brings unbounded joy when the sun shines and artistic delight all the time.
Roberta lives on Vancouver Island in BC, Canada, where the awesome beauty of nature is her foundational link to joy.
